Vulva Casting Retreat:

A Sacred Journey of Embodiment, Creativity, and Reclamation

March 27–30 | North Georgia Mountain Regions

Reconnect to the wisdom of your body, honor your personal story, and explore the power of creative expression in this intimate 4-day retreat centered around the profound ritual of vulva casting.

This retreat isn’t just about creating a work of art.
It’s about remembering your body as sacred.
It’s about releasing shame, deepening belonging, and celebrating the parts of ourselves that culture often teaches us to hide.

Held in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, this gathering offers a safe, nurturing, trauma-informed space for women to come home to themselves through expressive arts, somatic practices, ritual, and community.

Why Vulva Casting?

For many women, this process becomes a turning point. A reclamation, a remembering, a homecoming.

Vulva casting invites you to:

  • See your body without judgment

  • Start the process of releasing shame

  • Witness your own beauty, power, and individuality

  • Embody creativity in the most intimate way

This is a transformative practice that we approach with gentleness, consent, and respect.

Our Retreat Venue

We’ll be held inside a spacious, nurturing mountain home in the North Georgia mountain region. A cozy sanctuary where we can unwind, create, and connect. Full venue details to come soon.

What You’ll Experience

Vulva Casting Ritual

Michelle will carefully create a beautifully detailed plaster cast of your vulva, which you will receive as a finished sculpture to paint and personalize during the retreat. This intimate, artful process becomes a powerful symbol of self-acceptance, embodiment, and personal truth- an experience many women describe as both healing and liberating.

Expressive Arts Sessions, Guided Reflection + Group Sharing

Through painting, journaling, poetry, clay, and mixed media, you’ll explore emotions, personal narratives, and the stories your body holds—allowing creative expression to become a pathway for insight and integration. We create a space where you can be witnessed, supported, and honored. Sharing is always optional and held with deep respect.

Somatic Grounding, Embodiment Practices & Nature Time

Experience gentle, guided movement, breathwork, and sensory-based practices designed to release tension, reconnect you with your body, and cultivate a deep sense of inner safety. You’ll also have time for walks, journaling, and quiet moments in nature, allowing the land and stillness to support your integration.

What’s Included?

  • 3 nights lodging in a cozy retreat home

  • Three seasonal, healthy, and nourishing meals each day. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.

  • Drinking water, tea, & coffee

  • All vulva casting materials and art materials for creative sessions

  • Guided rituals, somatic + embodiment workshops

Meet Your Guides

Michelle Namer

Of all the journeys I've been on, the one back home to myself is the most treasured.

I’ve had the honor and privilege of working with Regena “Mama Gena” Thomashauer as a Pleasure Revolutionary, hosting virtual pleasure meditations, rage rituals, and dance parties for hundreds of women all over the globe.

This sculptural art is my way of spreading the gift of body reclamation and radical self love.

It is my goal to create a safe, nurturing, consensual space for this work from start to finish.

This art is a great antidote to perfectionism: the rough edges and imperfections are interesting and beautiful parts of a final piece.

Knowing your body is a work of art is a delightful and powerful way to resist, and it's a pleasure to be of service to the resistance!

“A woman who owns her Pussy owns her life.” — Mama Gena

Ella Dufrene MPS,ATR

Registered Art Therapist, YTT 200

Ella Dufrene is a registered art therapist, retreat guide, and space-holder for women ready to come home to themselves through creativity, presence, and truth.

Her path into this work began in dance and expanded into visual art, somatic practices, and years of holding space for women through embodiment-based creative experiences. For over a decade, Ella has woven together movement, art-making, and deep listening as pathways back to the self, especially for women who have spent much of their lives caring for others, performing, or shrinking to survive.

Ella’s work is grounded not only in theory, but in lived experience. In devotion to her own body and the truth it carries, she discovered vulva casting as an invitation to meet what lives beneath the surface with tenderness instead of judgment.

Her retreats are known for creative self-expression, community connection and earth wisdom. She leads with humility, honesty, and reverence for each woman’s unique body and story.

This is not a place to fix yourself.
It is a place to remember, honor and celebrate yourself.

And you will be welcomed here exactly as you are.

 Vulva Casting FAQs

  • Smooth-On Body Double Silk life casting silicon material will be used to capture all the fine details of your body. It is a certified skin safe product; if you’d like to know more about the material, use this link. Plaster bandage is applied on top of the casting material, and a tiny bit of plaster water drips may get on your body.

  • A robe, comfy pants, or a flowy dress/mumu you wouldn’t mind getting messy are all great options for your casting session. You will disrobe from belly button down; the casting material can leave a residue on clothes that are in the casting area. Be mindful that any marks from tight pants or panty lines will be captured by the casting material, so plan to let your body breathe a little leading up to your session.

  • Your hair is perfect! I will use either Nivea creme or Vaseline to protect any hairs that the casting material might pull. Pubic hair may create bubbles or unexpected textures in the final piece, if this isn’t something you desire to receive as a personalized artistic signature, then you may want to closely trim or shave pubic hair for the casting session. I will have scissors & clippers for game time decisions about this.

  • Clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, an open mind, and your masterpiece of a body!

  • I (Michelle) will invite you to have a breath and acclimate to where we’ll be molding. I’ll give you a moment to change. We’ll explore position options and you’ll choose a final position you can hold for about 15-20 minutes. I’ll mix up the casting material and use a gloved hand to apply it to your body. I’ll then apply plaster bandage over the casting material. You’ll still be hanging out in the same position. Once everything is set, I will remove the mold and give you some time to clean up and get dressed. I will use plaster to start the process of turning your mold into a finished piece of art, and we will finish our pieces together at the retreat.

  • Your period is no problem at all. Tampons, diva cups, or free bleeding are all welcome for your casting session.
